HOWELLS - Humphrey-Lindsay Holy Family punched their ticket to the East Husker Conference Tournament semifinals with a 54-46 victory over Bancroft Rosalie Tuesday night.
The Bulldogs trailed by 9 at the half but were undaunted, turning up the defensive heat early in the 2nd half and turning the tables on the favored Panthers. After giving up 33 points in the first half, HLHF only allowed 13 the rest of the way.
Owen Kurtenbach was borderline unstoppable in the low post, totaling 18 points on the night. Caden Brandl chipped in 12 points along with 4 steals. K.J. Blackhawk led the way for Bancroft-Rosalie with 14, including four 3-pointers.
Humphrey-Lindsay Holy Family meets West Point-Beemer in the semis on Friday.
