OMAHA, Neb. — Millard South is one win away from a state title.

The Patriots defeated Kearney 49-14 in the Class A semifinals on Friday night.

Jett Thomalla passed for 374 yards and 4 touchdowns with Florida State commit Chase Loftin catching 2 of them.

Kearney quarterback Griffin Novacek rushed for 141 yards and a touchdown in the defeat.

Millard South will face two-time defending champs Westside in the Class A State Championship on Monday, Nov. 25.
