WAYNE - The Wayne State Wildcats ended their football season on a high note, ending a three-game losing streak with a 21-0 shutout of Concordia-St. Paul in their final game of the season.

The Wildcat defense held an opponent without a point for the first time since a 48-0 win over Minot State in September of 2021. The Wayne State defense held the leading rusher in the Northern Sun Conference, Jaylin Richardson, to a season-low 20 yards on 11 carries. The Golden Bears averaged just 1.4 yards per rush.

By contrast, Wayne State's running game was more than enough, with true freshman Akeem Knox finishing with a career-high 162 yards and a touchdown on 30 carries.

The win was the swan song for 16 Wildcat seniors, including quarterback Nick Bohn, who became just the third player in Wayne State history to finish with over 10,000 total yards in his career, joining Silas Fluellen and Zach Osborn.

Wayne State finishes 7-4 on the year.
