LINCOLN, Neb. — A local veterans support group is making sure Lincoln veterans and their families have a holiday meal.

The Veteran's Advisory Group is passing out 127 meals to homeless and at-risk veterans for Christmas.

"The biggest thing is to know that this is the time of year where not only veterans but their families need the extra support," Veterans Advisory Group Chair, Mike Kunce says. "Additional stress and PTSD symptoms [can] come up this time of year."

The group of volunteers gathered on Wednesday evening before going out to deliver the meals.

The meals we're donated to the Veteran's Advisory Group by Sandhills Global and the Mercato.
