FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Lance Waddles scored 24 points as Omaha beat North Dakota State 85-80 on Saturday.

Waddles also contributed five rebounds for the Mavericks (8-9, 2-0 Summit League). Marquel Sutton scored 16 points and added 12 rebounds. Tony Osburn shot 5 for 12, including 3 for 7 from beyond the arc to finish with 13 points.

Jacksen Moni led the way for the Bison (11-6, 0-2) with 23 points. Masen Miller added 20 points for North Dakota State. Tajavis Miller finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Up next for Omaha is a Wednesday matchup with UMKC at home, and North Dakota State visits Oral Roberts on Thursday.

Forte puts up 22, South Dakota knocks off Denver 91-84

VERMILLION, S.D. (AP) — Chase Forte scored 22 points as South Dakota beat Denver 91-84 on Saturday night.

Forte added seven rebounds for the Coyotes (10-7, 1-1 Summit League). Isaac Bruns scored 21 points while going 5 of 9 and 11 of 14 from the free-throw line and added five rebounds. Cameron Fens shot 3 of 4 from the field and 4 of 10 from the free-throw line to finish with 10 points.

DeAndre Craig led the way for the Pioneers (6-11, 0-2) with 15 points. Nicholas Shogbonyo added 13 points and 12 rebounds for Denver. Sebastian Akins had 12 points and eight assists.

Freeman leads Arizona State dismantling of Colorado in 81-61 win

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) — BJ Freeman scored 19 points and Jayden Quaintance recorded a double-double and Arizona State seized control early and cruised to an 81-61 win over Colorado on Saturday.

Quaintance scored 11 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, Basheer Jihad scored 17 points and reserve Amier Ali scored 10 points shooting 7 for 7 from the foul line.

Arizona State (10-3, 1-1) won its first-ever Big 12 Conference game shooting 51.9% (28 of 54) including 46.4% (13 for 28) from 3-point range.

Colorado reserve Trevor Baskin scored 23 points and outscored the Buffaloes’ starters by two points.

Alston Mason's 3-pointer just under two minutes in put Arizona State ahead 8-6 and the basket ignited a 14-2 Sun Devils run over the next six minutes for a 19-8 lead.

Colorado's Harrison Carrington stopped the hemorrhaging briefly with a 3 with 10:43 left before halftime, but a 13-0 ASU outburst in a little more than two minutes made it 32-11 with 7:52 left before intermission. Ali made three foul shots, Mason made a jump shot, Quaintance made a 3 and a jumper and Jihad made a 3 during the run.

Arizona State led 40-27 at the break on the strength of 51.7% shooting (15 for 29) to the Buffaloes' 34.3% (12 for 34) including 2 for 14 from 3-point range.

Colorado continues its road trip as it heads to Central Florida on Wednesday. Arizona State travels to face seventh-ranked Kansas on Wednesday.

Kobe Newton scores 16 to guide Wyoming to 70-65 victory over Air Force

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — Kobe Newton had 16 points to lead Wyoming to a 70-65 victory over Air Force on Saturday.

Newton shot 4 for 7 (4 for 5 from 3-point range) and 4 of 4 from the free-throw line for the Cowboys (9-6, 2-2 Mountain West Conference). Dontaie Allen shot 5 for 5, including 4 for 4 from beyond the arc to add 14 points. Matija Belic scored 13 on 6-for-8 shooting.

Wesley Celichowski led the Falcons (3-11, 0-3) with 19 points. Ethan Taylor totaled 10 points, seven rebounds, eight assists and three steals.

Newton scored nine in the first half and Wyoming went into halftime trailing 36-33. Wyoming used a 7-0 second-half run to come back from a one-point deficit and take the lead at 62-56 with 4:21 left in the half. Jordan Nesbitt scored 10 second-half points.

Reynolds late layup lifts Northern Colorado past Idaho State 93-92 in OT

GREELEY, Colo. (AP) — Langston Reynolds' 27 points and his layup with 13 seconds left in overtime lifted Northern Colorado past Idaho State 93-92 on Saturday night.

Reynolds added eight assists for the Bears (10-5, 2-0 Big Sky Conference). Brock Wisne scored 21 points, shooting 10 of 13 from the field and 1 for 3 from the line. Jaron Rillie shot 6 for 8, including 1 for 3 from beyond the arc to finish with 15 points.

The Bengals (6-7, 1-1) were led in scoring by Dylan Darling, who finished with 22 points and seven assists. Jake O'Neil added 21 points, eight rebounds and four steals for Idaho State. Isaiah Griffin finished with 20 points.

Up next for Northern Colorado is a Thursday matchup with Montana State on the road, and Idaho State hosts Weber State on Saturday.
